What is the ruling of Dua in prostration. Can i pray anything in any language in prostration regardless of whether its obligator or nafle prayers? Or can i just make sujood for dua after the salath finished?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, during Fardh (obligatory) Salah one must only recite سبحان ربي الأعلى in Sajdah.[1]
However, during Nafl Salah one may recite Duas in Sajdah with the following conditions:[2]
1. The Dua must be in Arabic
2. The Dua must be pertaining to such things which only Allah can give. For example, forgiveness, health, Jannah etc. It must not be of specific worldly things. For example, getting married to someone specific etc. [3]
3. It is preferable that the Dua be from the Quran and Hadith.[4]
As for reciting Duas outside Salah in Sajdah, they maybe recited in any language. However one must not make it a habit nor consider it Sunnah or Mustahab.[5]
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
In my country the price of goat, sheep, and cow is very expensive and it is very hard for us to buy a share in qurbani. I would like to know if we can do a qurbani of horse and is horse a halal animal?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
According to Hanafi school of thought [mazhab], the qurbani of the following animals is valid:
Sheep/Goat/Ram/Lamb
Cattle/Cow/Buffalo/Ox/Bull
Camel
If it is difficult for you to buy a goat or share in a cow in your country, you may fulfil your obligation through a reliable friend/relative/organisation in other country where you can afford making qurbani.
It is not permissible to slaughter a horse for qurbani. [1] [2] [3]
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
In principle, there is no Zakaat due on a minor. Therefore, there is no Zakaat due on the gold and cash belonging to your daughter. [1]
